Our Reading Recovery students have been doing some wonderful writing and because of this have been sent to the Principal... for a sticker! Here are some photos Mack, Brendan and Flynn them with their writing and their Principal's stickers.
We are excited about the upcoming technology conference. Teachers from different schools will be visiting our school next Thursday to look at how we use technology at Broulee Public School. The Learning Pod has some wonderful students set to show teachers how we use technology to support literacy. Matt, Maddie and Brena from 5D will be showing teachers how to use Phonics Hero to teach students how to learn to read and spell phonemes, as well as showing iPad apps to teach students how to read and spell sight words. Billy and Koray from 6R are ready to show a variety of engaging websites that teach children to comprehend what they are reading. Jasmine from 3T will be available to show teachers what apps can be used with MiniLit and MultiLit. We will be back next week with plenty of photos!
It has been an extremely busy year in our room. We have had lots of children come and go. As they need help to start with and then they achieved their literacy goals and left us. That means that the children are receiving the right support for their areas of need. All the teachers and the SLSO's are proud to be a part of helping all children that come to our room achieve and make them feel good about themselves.
